What We Have Done

In 2006, our club awarded scholarships to these very deserving high school seniors to help them as they graduated and prepared to start college:

In 1998, we gave an Automatic External Defibrillator to the Haverford Township Police Department so that a police officer who reaches a person with a heart in fibrillation might keep that person alive until medics arrive. In December 2000, we gave them 5 more, so each police car on patrol has one. In recent years, we have given money to shelter the homeless and to feed the less fortunate; we have donated to Philabundance, Merry Place, and to Rotaplast, to name only a few. We have contributed to youth athletic teams and leagues. We have supported the 100 Book Challenge. We have purchased fire equipment for Haverford Township fire companies, and a communications system for Haverford Township's Town Watch. Four times a year we pick up litter along Darby Road between West Chester Pike and Ardmore Avenue.

Directions to our Meetings

Simple to find! Get off the Blue Route, I-476, at Exit 9 (Broomall-Upper Darby) and go west one mile on West Chester Pike (PA Route 3) to Sproul Road (PA Route 320). The Country Squire is next to the corner gas station. We meet in a nonsmoking room, but it is NOT a smoke-free restaurant.
